I love that there is a way to make Air Fried Low Carb Cheddar Cheese Biscuits.
This is because I seem to be air frying everything these days (as I will explain).

Air Fried Low Carb Cheddar Cheese Biscuits

This is a lot like my recipe for Low Carb Biscuits.
However, that recipe does not have added cheddar in and it is also baked in an oven.

I do have Low Carb Copycat Red Lobster Biscuit recipe.
That recipe has seasoning as well as cheddar cheese in it. I must say that the Red Lobster copycat recipe has been a popular one as well.

I mentioned a moment ago that I seem to be air frying a lot these days.

Certainly that has a lot to do with how easy and healthy air frying anything can be.
Really, just about anyone can work a basic air fryer such as this one.

However, I recently updated my air fryer to a new one that does more than just air fry.
After mentioning that I was thinking about upgrading, I had a reader who suggested that I check out this air fryer as they had recently purchased it and were extremely happy with it.
I must say that I am indeed really happy with my upgrade.

You may be wondering if you can make biscuits in an air fryer.

The answer is yes, you can make your biscuits in an air fryer.
The simple way to do so is to just use a prepackaged biscuit dough which however, does not come in low carbohydrate (please correct me if you know otherwise).

So, we are going to make our own low carb cheddar biscuits in the air fryer instead.
To be honest, this is a pretty easy recipe to make. Making it in an air fryer is even easier as an air fryer will bake the biscuits more efficiently making them taste better, in my opinion, than oven baked biscuits.

Here are some tips Air Fried Low Carb Cheddar Cheese Biscuits

One tip that I find to be pretty essential to this recipe is to line your air fryer basket with parchment paper . Even better, if you are using an egg shaped air fryer you can find pre-cut parchment paper reasonably priced online!

Here are some more helpful tips for air frying biscuits.

    1. I already mentioned that linking your air fryer basket with parchment paper is especially helpful with baking and clean up. However, since we are using cheese in this recipe, you may want to give your parchment a light spray with some nonstick too!
    2. Mix your ingredients until just blended. Over-mixing can lead to dense or heavy biscuits.
    3. Make sure that you are using fresh ingredients (especially the dry ones!). Old ingredients can affect the outcome of your biscuits.
    4. You could make these biscuits in advance. Simply freeze the biscuit dough and bake them when you are ready to serve them.
    5. Use a round cookie cutter to cut your biscuits in a round shape. Flour or lightly spray with nonstick that cookie cutter to avoid having to twist it around too much while cutting.
    6. Since these biscuits are made with cheese, I suggest that store them in the refrigerator to make them last longer.
    7. Using a sharper cheddar cheese rather than a mild version is a good way to make this biscuit more favorable.
    8. If you are making more than one batch, simply wrap your baked biscuits in aluminum foil in order to serve all of your biscuits warm and at the same time.

We will make low carb self rising flour for this recipe.

That is, we will use low carb all purpose flour such as one of these. Also, we will use baking powder (please make sure that your ingredients are fresh for best results).

Here is how to make these air fried biscuits.

    • Low Carb All Purpose Flour - 2 cups.
    • Baking Powder- 3 teaspoons.
    • Salt- 1 teaspoon.
    • Sharp Cheddar Cheese- 1 cup grated.
    • Butter- 4 tablespoons, cut up into chunks. You can find butter alternatives online. Please read the instructions for using the one that you have selected to use.
    • Heavy Cream- 1 cup.

How to make Air Fried Low Carb Cheddar Cheese Biscuits

    • Start by lining your air fryer basket with parchment paper . Then, lightly spray the paper with nonstick .
    • Please have your grated cheese, butter, and creamed stored in the refrigerator while we prepare the dry ingredients. Siftor whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt into a medium mixing bowl. Place this bowl into the refrigerator for a minimum of 15 minutes.
    • When you are ready to make your biscuits, preheat you air fryer 380 and remove the ingredients from the refrigerator. Gently use a fork to mix the shredded cheese and the butter into the dry ingredients. Then add the heavy cream and lightly stir until the ingredients are almost mixed together.
    • Transfer the ingredient from the bowl to the flat surface when it begins to stick together. Then gently knead the ingredients into a working dough that can stick together- do not over-knead. If the batter sticks to your hands you can either oil your hands or apply flour to them to keep the sticking to a minimum. Pat the dough into 1" thickness. You can form the biscuits by hand or use a round cookie cutter to cut out the biscuits.
    • Place the biscuits into your air fryer without over lapping them. You may need to make one than more batch depending on the size of your fryer. Air fry for ten minutes and then flip the (use a tong) biscuits over. Continue to air fry for another 7-10 minutes or until them are golden brown.
