My recipe calls for for the wheat flour alternative that is low carb. Carbalose can be used in this recipe because it contains 80% less carbs than regular flour. Carbalose is the main ingredient in Carbquick, the low carb baking mix that is used in this recipe.
We enjoy a low carb or lower carb pie thanks to this recipe. I purchase the low carb baking mix to substitute for the regular flour that is usually used in a crust. Also, I use this pie crust recipe for a pot pie or vegetable pie recipe.
