Ingredients

Granular sugar alternative (2 tbsp) + Ground Cinnamon (2 tsp) for topping.

    Instructions

    • Preheat your oven to 325.
Prep a baking pan or dish for nonstick. I use parchment paper for a recipe such as this one.
    • In a medium bowl, use a whisk or a fork to mix together the flour with the cream of tartar.
    • Next, in a mixing bowl, beat together the butter with the sugar alternatives until creamy. Then add the egg and the vanilla extract.
    • Add the dry ingredients from the first bowl to the ingredients in the mixing bowl and mix until just combined.
    • Evenly spread this in the prepared baking baking pan. Then sprinkle the remaining sugar alternative and cinnamon on top of the bars.
    • Bake these bars for 25-30 minutes or until they begin to turn golden brown. While the toothpick test could work in this recipe, it is normal for the bars to be somewhat soft in the center .
Allow the bars to fully cool before slicing to insure that you get a clean cut.
