    Instructions

    • Start by prepping a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Melt the darker or semi sweet chocolate chips according to the directions on the packaging. I use a microwave-safe bowl and microwave, stopping every 20 seconds to stir, until the chocolate is full melted.
    • Carefully, evenly spread the melted chocolate on to the prepared baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in your freezer until the chocolate is set (about 10 minutes).
    • Repeat the melting process for the white chocolate chips until melted and then allow it to sit at room temperature for five minutes. Then stir in the peppermint extract before evenly distributing the melted white chocolate over the set darker chocolate.
    • To make colorful swirls using icing, use a toothpick to simply swirl the color about half way deep in the white layer (not touching the darker layer below). Add any additional toppings and then return the baking sheet to the freezer to set.
