Sugar Free Rum Brownies

Cocoa Rum Brownies- Make These With No Added Sugar!

A delicious brownie recipe that adds a bit of rum to the taste.

Servings: 14 -16 depending on size

Ingredients

  • Flour or flour alternative- ½ cup
  • Baking Powder- ½ teaspoon
  • Salt- dash
  • Sugar Alternative- 1 cups or equivalent
  • Unsweetened Cocoa- ⅓ cup
  • Eggs- 2
  • Butter or Coconut Oil - ½ cup or 1 stick melted
  • Rum- 1 tablespoon
  • Optional- bittersweet chocolate- 4 squares or 1 ounce- can use chocolate chips can use sugar free chocolate chips
  • Optional- chopped nuts 1 cup

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 and prep your pan for nonstick. I like to use parchment paper or a silicon square.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine together the flour/alternative, baking powder, salt and sugar/alternative. Set this bowl aside.
  • In another bowl,combine the butter/coconut oil and vanilla. Then beat your eggs into the mixture.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredient bowl that was set aside. Add the rum and any optional items. Mix without over mixing.
  • Spread the batter into your prepped pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool prior to cutting.
