  • Start by preparing a large bowl with ice water.

  • Next, place the eggs in a large pot. Cover the eggs with cool water and sprinkle in the baking soda.
  • Place the pot on high heat. Bring the water with eggs to a boil.

  • Once the water boils you can turn off the heat and cover the pot with a lid. See the notes below for timing. Then transfer the eggs to the large bowl that you prepared with ice water.

For Soft Boiled Eggs allow the eggs to sit in the ice water for 3-4 minutes.
