Instructions

  • I like to give my slow cooker 'crock' a quick spray of nonstick spray. Combine together the nuts, sugar alternative, butter, cinnamon, extract and any additional seasonings in the slow cooker. Stir this well to fully cover the nuts with all of the ingredients.

  • Set the slow cooker on high and slow cook for two hours. You will need to stir the nuts every thirty minutes to make sure that they cook evenly and for the ingredients to to cover evenly especially as the butter melts. TIP: Watch and stir the pecans while they are cooking to prevent burning.
    place ingredients in slow cooker
  • Meanwhile, prep a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Recipe Notes

I mentioned that for best results, you should use pecan halves that are raw . However, you could use another kind of nut with or instead of pecans. I like walnut halves for this recipe.
This recipe works great as a gift giving idea.
Simply double the recipe if needed to make additional candied pecans.
You can package these candied nuts in a fun holiday gift bag or holiday gift box.
TIP: Watch and stir the pecans while they are cooking to prevent burning.
