  • Melt the mozzarella and the cream cheese together. You can do this using a microwave safe bowl. Microwave the ingredients until melted. This should take between one and two minutes to do. I suggest keeping an eye on the melting cheese as you do not want it to burn.

Recipe Notes

I mentioned that this can be a sticky dough to work with when you are using your hands. Coating your hands with a bit of oil help prevent that sticking.
I also mentioned that the cheese can be hot after it has melted.
After the cheese is melted it can become really hot or too warm to actually work with. I suggest waiting until you are comfortable to actually work with it before you touch the dough.
As mentioned, you can store extra fathead dough in the refrigerator for a couple of days or in the freezer for longer. Just be sure to wrap the dough well in plastic wrap and allow it to get to room temperature before using.
