Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese - softened to room temperature
  • 6 oz Crab Meat
  • 2 tsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 Green Onion - chopped
  • Low Carb Wonton Wrappers - see post for details

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 370 and give the basket a quick spray with nonstick. If your crab meat is not chopped small, you can put it through a food processor to get it to a good size or chop it by hand .
    air fryer
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, crab meat, Soy Sauce, and green onions until combined. You could use a mixer or processor to do this but, mixing by hand will give you better control over the texture of the end result.
    rangoon ingredients
  • Place a small bowl with warm water by your work area. Then place six wonton wrappers on the work area. Spoon one teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each wrapper. First dip your finger into the bowl of warm water and then wet the sides of each wrapper with your wet finger. This will make it easier for you to crimp the corners of each wrapper into the center to close the Rangoons. To close the Rangoon, pull together the middle of the sides of the wrapper, close the sides together while letting all the air escape.
    assemble rangoon
  • Lightly spray each rangoon with oil and place into the air fryer basket, allowing room between each Rangoon. Air fry for eight to 10 minutes or until done. Repeat until you have air fried all of the Rangoons.

Recipe Notes

This recipe should make as many as 30 Rangoons.
The amount of Crab Rangoons that you make will depend on how large your wrappers are however.

You can use regular wonton wrappers to make this recipe.
However, for low carbohydrate Crab Rangoons you can use low carb wonton wrapper (such as coconut wrappers) instead of the usual wonton wrappers.
