Sugar Free Cocoa Buttercream Icing
A sugar free method of making cocoa butter cream frosting
- Butter- 6 tablespoons softened to room temperature.
- Sugar free powdered sugar- 2 ⅔ cup. Make your own powdered sugar using this recipe or buy sugar free powdered sugar online here.
- Unsweetened cocoa powder- ⅓ cup.
- Vanilla extract- 2 teaspoons.
- Milk or cream- 1 ½ tablespoons.
Add the softened butter to a mixing bowl and creme it if not yet cremy.
In a separate bowl, blend together the unsweetened cocoa and sugar free powdered sugar.
Slowly add the dry ingredients from the second bowl to the first bowl and blend. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
Add the milk or creme to the mixing bowl and mix on low until blended. If your frosting appears to be too thick for your needs simply add a few more drops of milk and blend. However, do not over mix the frosting as this may cause some separation.
