Ingredients

Instructions

  • Start by melting your butter in a saucepan. I start at medium heat and adjust from there. When the butter has melted you can stir in the brown sugar alternative and then stir in the heavy cream. Stir this while it cooks. After a minute you can lower the temperature to low and continue to cook for another minute or so until the ingredients appear to be blended together.

  •  Remove the saucepan from the heat. Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl.
    paddle attachment
  • Next, add the vanilla extract to the mixing bowl and then beat in the sugar free powdered sugar. This works best when you add a half or third of the powdered sugar at a time, beating between additions.

  • Beat until you reach your desired consistency. If the frosting seems to be too thick, you can add additional cream.

Recipe Notes

As mentioned, you will need a Brown Sugar alternative. You can find Brown Sugar Alternative online. Also needed is sugar free powdered sugar.
You can make your own sugar free powdered sugar using this recipe or you can buy sugar free powdered sugar already made online.
Heavy Cream, Milk, or Half And Half ⅓ cup (or up to a couple of tablespoons more if you are looking for a thinner frosting). While heavy cream will yield the more luscious result, half and half will be lower in carbohydrates. You could try Greek Yogurt as well (I have not in this recipe).
