  • In a mixing bowl, use a sifter or whisk to mix together the flour and the baking powder.
  • Next, in a different mixing bowl, cream together the butter with the sugar alternative.
    mix together
  • Add the eggs one at a time, stirring gently between the additions. Then add the vanilla extract.
    add egg
  • For the next step we will add the flour mixture from the first bowl to the mixing bowl. Stir this until just combined. If it seems too thick, add a teaspoon or as needed of heavy whipping cream or similar dairy.
    mix batter
  • Transfer the batter into the prepped cake pan until it is about ½ to ⅔ full. Yes, you may have leftover batter depending on the size of your pan. Lower the pan into your air fryer (you may need to use the basket or make a sling using foil depending on your pan and air fryer). Bake the cake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean. Baking time will vary depending on the size of your air fryer.Use precautions when removing the cake pan as it will most likely be hot.

  • Allow the cake to cool before removing it from the pan.

Recipe Notes

I suggested that you should use a cake pan that fits your air fryer.
This is one of those cake recipes that may work best when the cake pan is really prepped well. One idea is to use two of the following popular methods. Greasing the pan, flouring the pan or using pre-cut parchment paper.
I also mentioned that you may need to make adjustments to this recipe.
Because we are using a sugar alternative to sweeten it, depending on the sweetener that you use, the cake may turn out a bit dry.
If you would like to prevent this from happening, feel free to add a tablespoon extra of the butter or a tablespoon of oil.
