    air fryer
  • Transfer the beet chips to a large mixing bowl and toss them in the oil and seasonings. This recipe should be made in at least two batches to insure that the chips can bake evenly and get crisp. Start by placing half of the beets into the basket and cooking. Check the beets every five minutes and shake the basked when you do so to promote even baking.

Recipe Notes

I mentioned that to keep the chips from getting soggy, and this get a crisper chip, it is important to shake the basket around every five minutes while the chips are air frying. Also important, is that you should slice the chips thin rather than thick to promote even cooking.
Also mentioned was how to prepare the beet root for this air fryer recipe.
Peel the beets using a vegetable peeler and then slice them about 1/16" to ⅛" slices.
Then place the slices between two paper towels for five to ten minutes to allow for excess liquid to escape (which will help make it easier to get a crisp chip).
