Sugar Free Gluten Free Almond Brownies
These really are the best Sugar Free Gluten Free Almond Brownies. Serve Delicious baked dessert recipe that has no added sugar or gluten.
Preheat your oven to 325 and prep a square baking pan for nonstick. I like to use parchment paper that over hangs the pan for easy transferring for cutting up the brownies (as well as easier clean up).
In a medium bowl, use a fork or a whisk to mix together the gluten free baking flour with the cocoa powder.
Next, in a mixing bowl, mix together the sugar alternative with the butter. Then mix in the the ingredients from the first bowl until just blended. Mix in the eggs and the vanilla extract. Since there is no gluten in the flour, you do not need to be overly cautious about over-mixing this batter. YAY!
Lastly, fold in the chocolate chips and the almonds. Allow the batter to sit for five to ten minutes before transferring it to the prepped baking pan and putting it into the oven.
Bake the brownies for 15 minutes and then place the remaining almonds on top of the brownies. Continue to bake for for an additional 10 to 15 minutes. The toothpick test may give a false positive as there are chocolate chips in this recipe. As a result, you will need to simply use your own judgement to assure that the brownies are done. Allow the brownies to cool before cutting them up and devouring them.
I mentioned that using gluten free baking flour makes it easier to bake with. This is because this flour has a binder already in it and it should measure 1:1 with flour (read the label to make sure!).
Also, the sugar alternative that you choose should be a granular sugar alternative that measures 1:1 with sugar and is also gluten free.
When you choose your sugar free chocolate chips they should be gluten free.
Because we are using both a sugar alternative and a flour alternative in this recipe, you may need to make a few adjustment as these ingredients hold on to moisture differently. As a result, feel free to add additional butter, for example, as needed for moisture.
