Preheat your air fryer to 400. Make sure that your sweet potatoes has been sliced into one quarter to one half inch wide slices that resemble fries. Pretreating your fry basket for nonstick is optional.
In a mixing bowl, use a whisk or a fork to mix together the olive oil and seasonings. Then toss the sweet potatoes fries in the seasonings. It may be easiest to use your hands to toss the pumpkin to assure that the slices all get evenly covered.
Place as many sweet potatoes fries that will fit without overlapping into the basket of the air fryer. Air fry for six minutes and then toss the fries in the basket. Continue to air fry the fries until crisp and browning (about another five or six minutes). Repeat until all of the fries are done air frying
Recipe Notes
I mentioned that you should choose a sweet potato that is firm and free of bruising. To cut the fries simply cut the potato in half lengthwise and cut the potatoes into fries that are around a quarter to one half inch thick. Also mentioned, some folks like to add a bit of cornstarch. The cornstarch will help make the fries more crisp. If you choose to add the cornstarch simple add a tablespoon to the seasonings.*Please check the nutritional labels to assure that you are sticking to your diet restrictions for any substitutions used.- see post for alternatives
