Did you try my Air Fried Pumpkin Fries?

This is another seasonal favorite recipe for an air fried side or snack.
However, this recipe for sweet potato fries is also a lot like regular potato fries as well.

I love using my air fryer to make all kinds of healthy and tasty food. You should check out what I found. Useful Accessories for your Air Fryer.

This recipe is for anyone asking what are the benefits of eating sweet potatoes.

What you should know is that one cup of sweet potatoes has about 114 calories and is low in fat and cholesterol.
Even better, sweet potatoes are loaded in Vitamin A!

Yes, sweet potatoes are especially popular during the fall season.

This is especially true when it comes to fall holidays such as Thanksgiving.
I mean, not many of us can resist a seeing a sweet potato pie on the holiday dessert table.

How to choose a sweet potato.

Sweet potatoes are commonly sold solo rather than in bags (at my local grocery store anyway).
Look for a smaller or medium sized sweet potato that is firm and has no bruises.

How to prepare your sweet potato for this recipe.
Leaving the skin on the potato is an option however, before you do anything I would suggest cleaning the skin (I soak mine and rinse them). To cut the potatoes first cut them in half lengthwise then slice the halves into sticks that are close in size and about a quarter to one half inch thick.

Here are some tips for air frying fries.

I just mentioned that you should choose a sweet potato that is firm and free of bruising. To cut the fries simply cut the potato in half lengthwise and cut the potatoes into fries that are around a quarter to one half inch thick.

Here are some more helpful tips for you.

    1. Some folks like to add a bit of cornstarch (a tablespoon or two) to the seasonings. The cornstarch will help make the fries more crisp.
    2. For best results, I suggest making this recipe in batches. It is better to not have the sweet potato fries overlap when in the air fryer because they will not air fry evenly.
    3. It is essential that you turn or shake the fries at least once while they are in the air fryer. This will help them air fry more evenly.

How to serve air fried sweet potato fries.

Yes, you could easily do the usual dip your fries in ketchup.
However, why not try some salad dressing or dipping sauce?

The recipe for Air Fried Sweet Potato Fries

Earlier I mentioned that you should choose a sweet potato that is firm and free of bruising. To cut the fries simply cut the potato in half lengthwise and cut the potatoes into fries that are around a quarter to one half inch thick.

Also mentioned, some folks like to add a bit of cornstarch .

The cornstarch will help make the fries more crisp. If you choose to add the cornstarch simple add a tablespoon to the seasonings in the instructions below.

What you will need to make this recipe for fries.

      • Sweet Potatoes- 3 medium sized or 2 large. Have your sweet potatoes cleaned and cut into strips that are between one quarter and one half thick.
      • Olive Oil- 2 tablespoons.
      • Seasonings as desired- 2-3 teaspoons total. This can include Italian Seasonings, Salt, and/or Pepper. Other options include blends such as a Mediterranean Diet Seasoning Blend or something with more of a 'zing' such as one of these seasoning blends.

How to make Air Fried Sweet Potato Fries

      • Preheat your air fryer to 400. Make sure that your sweet potatoes has been sliced into one quarter to one half inch wide slices that resemble fries. Pretreating your fry basket for nonstick is optional.
      • In a mixing bowl, use a whisk or a fork to mix together the olive oil and seasonings. Then toss the sweet potatoes fries in the seasonings. It may be easiest to use your hands to toss the pumpkin to assure that the slices all get evenly covered.
      • Place as many sweet potatoes fries that will fit without overlapping into the basket of the air fryer. Air fry for six minutes and then toss the fries in the basket. Continue to air fry the fries until crisp and browning (about another five or six minutes). Repeat until all of the fries are done air frying,
