Instructions

  • Dry Ingredients. Place your sugar free powdered sugar along with the unsweetened cocoa powder in a bowl and use a whisk to mix the ingredients together while breaking up any lumps.
  • Whipping Cream In your chilled mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to whip your heavy cream until soft peaks begin to form. (When you lift your beaters from the bowl a peak will form and then flop over instead of standing up.)
  • Combine. Set your mixer speed to medium and use a tablespoon to gradually add the dry ingredients from the first bowl to the mixing bowl. Then add in your vanilla extract.
  • Whip. Continue to whip your ingredients until stiff peaks form. (The peaks will stand up straight on their own.)
  • Transfer. You can use a piping bag or a spoon to transfer the whipped mousse to bowls or dessert cups for serving.
  • Serve. Serve your mousse immediately or cover and refrigerate the mousse before serving.
