  • Prep. Preheat your oven to 350 and prep your baking sheets for nonstick.
  • Dry Ingredients. In a medium sized bowl, use a whisk to mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cream. Beat together the butter and sugar alternatives until fluffy and creamy. Then mix in the applesauce and vanilla extract.
  • Combine. Add the dry ingredients from the first bowl to the mixing bowl and mix until just combined.
  • Fold. Lastly, use a rubber spatula or similar item to fold in the trail mix ingredients.
  • Bake. Use a cookie scoop to scoop out the cookies and place them onto your prepared baking sheets, leaving room between the cookies for spread. Then bake the cookies until the edges are set and begin to turn golden brown. Baking times can differ depending on the ingredients that you have used.
  • Cool. Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack to cool and set before serving.
