Ingredients

  • 2 cups Oat Flour
  • ½ cup Applesauce. -Plain unsweetened applesauce.
  • 2 tbsp Peanut Butter. -Use natural unsweetened, xylitol free peanut butter.
  • 1 Egg.
  • ½ cup Carrots. -Peeled and then grated.

Instructions

  • Prepare. Preheat your oven to 350f and prep a baking sheet for nonstick. Parchment paper or a baking mat can work in this recipe.
  • Mix. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the oat flour, applesauce, peanut butter and egg until thoroughly blended.
  • Carrots. Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl and then fold in the grated carrots.
  • Dough. Lightly dust your rolling pin and a clean workspace with oat flour. Use your hands to mold the dough that is in the mixing bowl. When you are able to shape the dough into a ball, transfer the dough to your workspace and use your rolling pin to roll the dough to about ½" thick. The dough should be tacky but not too sticky while you are working with it.
  • Shape. Use your cookie cutter(s) to cut out the cookies and place them onto your prepared baking sheet about a half an inch apart from on another.
  • Bake. Bake the dog treats for 18-20 minutes or until edges are beginning to brown. Let the treats sit on the pan for a couple of minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to fully cool before serving.
