Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 and prepare a square baking pan for nonstick.
  • In a medium bowl, use a whisk to combine together the flour, baking powder, and optional salt.
  • Next, in a mixing bowl, blend together the melted butter and the brown sugar alternative until combined and smooth. Then stir in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Add the dry ingredients from the first bowl to the ingredients in the mixing bowl and mix until just combined. Then transfer the ingredients to the prepared baking pan from the first step above.
  • To make the swirl, combine together the remaining melted butter, brown sugar alternative, and the cinnamon in a small bowl. Use a spoon to drop dollops of the mixture over the blondie batter in the pan. Then use a butter knife to turn the dollops into swirls by gently moving the dollop ingredients.
  • Bake the blondines for 20-25 minutes or until the blondies have turned golden and the edges appear to be set. The blondies will still be somewhat soft in the center.
  • Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan before adding the frosting. To make the frosting, simply combine together the frosting ingredients until creamy, making adjustments as needed for texture.
