  • Combine. In a large or medium saucepan, use a whisk to combine together the sugar alternative, cornstarch, and salt. Once combined, you can slowly whisk in the milk.
  • Heat. Place the saucepan on your stove and cook the ingredients over medium heat, stirring or whisking constantly, until it gently boils and thickens (10–15 minutes).
  • Butter. Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the butter and the vanilla extract until smooth and combined.
  • Serve. You can serve your pudding warm or transfer it to individual serving cups or bowls, cover, and refrigerate until chilled
