Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, place your warm milk, yeast, brown sugar alternative, flour, pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin puree, softened butter and egg to the bowl of a stand mixer, in order as written.
  • Outfit your mixer with a dough hook and knead the dough on low for five to six minutes until is soft, somewhat sticky, and it can pull away from the sides of the bowl.
  • Cover the bowl and place it in a warm spot. It should take about 90 minutes for your dough to double in size.
  • Meanwhile, you can line a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Uncover the dough and then punch it down once or twice (to release excess air) image 2. Then divide the 12 equal portions and roughly roll each portion into balls.
  • Place the balls of dough into your prepared baking dish and cover the dough again allowing it to rise until doubled (about a half hour image 3).
  • When you are ready to bake your rolls, preheat your oven to 350. You can top the rolls with pumpkin seeds before placing the baking dish into the center of your oven.
  • Bake the rolls until the begin to turn golden brown (25-30 minutes).
  • Take the baking pan out of the oven and brush the rolls with your melted butter while they are still warm. Then allow the rolls to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before serving.
