Ingredients

Base

Ganache

  • 8 oz Sugar Free Chocolate Baking Chips -
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream

Topping

Instructions

  • Prepare. Preheat your oven to 350 and prep an 8x11 glass baking dish well for nonstick.
  • Base. Outfit your mixer with a whisk attachment and then beat your butter on high until smooth and fluffy. Add the flour, sugar alternative, and vanilla extract to the bowl and beat the ingredients on medium until the dough comes together (about two to three minutes).
  • Press. Measure out two cups of the base mixture and then set the remaining aside. Use your fingertips to press the two cups of base mixture into your prepared baking dish.
  • Bake. Bake your base layer crust for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Then allow the crust to set while you prepare your ganache layer.
  • Ganache. Place your ganache chocolate into a heatproof bowl. In a small saucepan, heat your heavy cream over medium heat, whisking often, until small bubbles begin to form around the edges (avoid allowing it to boil). Then carefully pour the heavy cream over the chocolate in your bowl and let the heavy cream melt the chocolate. You can stir the ingredients after a few minutes to help it along. Once the chocolate has melted you can carefully pour it over your crust. Use the backside of a spoon to evenly spread it around.
  • Crumble Layer. In a clean bowl, combine together the remaining dough, the remaining chocolate (one half cup), and your walnuts. Then evenly sprinkle this mixture over your chocolate ganache layer.
  • Bake. Return your baking dish to your oven and continue to bake for 25-30 minutes or until the center is set.
  • Cool. Allow the baked crumb bars to fully cool before slicing into servings.
