Ingredients

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 325 and prepping your cake pan well for nonstick.
  • In a medium bowl, use a whisk to combine together the flour and baking powder.
  • Next, in a mixing bowl with a mixer outfitted with a paddle attachment, beat together your butter and sugar alternative until creamy. Then scrape down the sides of the bowl and add the eggs, one at a time, lightly beating between additions.
Then beat in the milk and vanilla extract.
  • For the next step, we will add the dry ingredients from the first bowl to the mixing bowl with the wet ingredients. Start by scraping down the sides of the bowl and then use a slow speed while you gradually add the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  • Transfer the cake batter to the prepared cake pan and then arrange the sliced strawberries on top. Bake the cake for 45-50 minutes or until the cake has baked through and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool for 10 minutes in the pan before loosening the sides from the springform pan and transferring the cake to a cooling rack to fully cool.
