This is because there are a lot of people who like their chicken, their air fryer, and eating low carb.
Air Fried Low Carb Chicken Tenders
Think of this as breaded chicken that is not fried.
Also, breaded chicken that is also low in carbohydrates.
You probably already know just how greasy a chicken tender can get when it is dipped in batter and then friend.
Because this chicken is cut as a tenderloin, and thus larger than a nugget, it has more area to it. This difference inn size can contribute to the tenderloin holding on to more of the oil when it is fried.
There really is a lot that you can do with a chicken tenderloin, or strip, such as the ones used in this recipe.
Obviously, you can eat the tenderloins alone as they are. But, you could also dip your chicken strips into some great tasting sauce or ranch dressing.
However, there are some creative ways to enjoy your chicken tenders.
My favorite idea is to buy low carbohydrate wraps. Then you can make chicken strip tacos, wraps, or even melt some cheese on top for a pizza kind of a creation.
I also think that it is a great idea to make these chicken strips in an air fryer.
Obviously, an air fryer is a healthier way to make just about anything. This is because there is no oil involved.
But, I must say that air frying is one of my favorite ways to cooking about anything these days.
Air fryers are not only easy to clean, they are also easy to use. I especially like how cheap it is to own an air fryer too these days!
What makes this air fried chicken strip recipe unique really has to be that it is low in carbohydrates.
As you probably already know, fried chicken does come with carbohydrates that have been added to the recipe. Those carbs come from the breading that covers the chicken.
Breading on fried anything is usually made from bread crumbs (Panko) or a similar kind of breading.
However, there are low carbohydrate substitutes for bread crumbs, you can buy low carb bread crumb alternatives online. - To make this we are going to set up a dredging station using three shallow bowls. For the first bowl whisk or blend together the flour and the seasoning. Place the eggs in the second bowl. In the last bowl place your bread crumbs.
- Meanwhile, lightly prep the basket of your air fryer for nonstick (optional) and preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees.

- Bake the chicken for done- 14-17 minutes. The chicken should reach 165 degrees and be no longer pink. Repeat the process until all of your chicken is done.
