- Chickpeas. Place your chickpeas in your food processor or blender. Blend the chickpeas until they are roughly chopped.
- Combine. Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and optional ingredients (salt, cinnamon...) to the blender or processor and blend until the ingredients are combined.
- Almond Milk. Use a rubber spatula or similar item to scrape down the sides of the processor bowl or blender. Then Add the almond milk and blend until smooth and creamy- about 20 seconds.
- Serve. Refrigerate or serve your hummus with fruit, cookies, bead, chips, or whatever sounds good to you!
