This No Sugar Added Pecan Pie recipe is perfect as a holiday dessert.
I like that it does not have all of the sugar in it.
No Sugar Added Pecan Pie
The average piece of pecan pie has about 31 grams of sugar and 63 carbs in it.
That is a lot when you take into consideration that the American Heart Association says the we only need 25 grams of sugar in a day.
This pie is by no means perfect when it comes to pecan pies.
However, it contains pecans, is a pie, and has no added sugar. Regular pecan pie contains a lot of corn syrup and sugar in it.
No added sugar pecan pie does not. We will use a work-around that is sugar free for the corn syrup.
You will need a few ingredients for this that you may not have on hand.
You will need a pie crust. You can find recipes for sugar free pie crust here. You will also need pecans and sugar free brown sugar alternative.

Holiday baking does not need to be a pain!
You probably have never heard that before right? Luckily, there is some help when it comes to holiday baking. I will share with you some of my favorite products for baking.
There are genius baking products I wish I invented.
If you are making a pie crust from scratch, check out this Adjustable Rolling Pin with Removable Rings. A smaller rolling pin, like this one, helps you get through rolling out any kind of a crust including a pizza crust (I use mine all the time!).
Do you use mixing bowls?
Probably yes since are here. I like these mixing bowls and use them all of the time. Check out that nonslip bottom. Totally worth the money as it can save you many a mess.
Here are some more helpful baking items.
A non-stick three tier cooling rack. This is an amazing space saving idea that I know I need all of the time. You know how all of that holiday baking goes when you have batches of cookies that need to get cooled at the same time.
There is a misconception that sugar alternatives can be used in a recipe just as you you use sugar.
Everyone knows that a sugar alternative can make something taste sweet to us without have the many effects that sugar does on the body. However, there is more to sugar alternatives then just taste.
Sugar alternatives are not chemically the same as sugar.
That chemical difference can be a big deal when it comes to recipes. There is a lot to learn if you are serious in baking with sugar alternatives. I have more in depth explanations about sugar alternatives in my book, The Sugar Free Baking Guide.

What is carbolose and can I substitute something else or omit it from this pie recipe? Thanks!
Sugar Free Diva
Hi. Carbalose is a low carb flour alternative. You can read more about it here. As an alternative to Carbalose you could always use regular flour (which does have carbs). Some folks use almond flour with a bit of xanthan gum to bind it. Thanks!

What white sugar & brown sugar replacements did you use to calculate net carbs for this sugarfree pecan pie? I checked Splenda Brian sugar replacement & 3/4 cup is 144 carbs. You have the pie as 1 net carb/slice.
Sugar Free Diva
Hi.
the brown sugar alternative can be found here. The white sugar alternative is Splenda. Thank you!
