Tips for making the best Ranger Cookies

The oats that are added to these cookies play an essential part in the texture of these cookies. Make sure that you re using rolled or old fashioned oats and not quick oats for this recipe.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. While not essential, you can refrigerate the cookie dough before scooping (or after scooping) out the cookies. This will help the cookies spread less while baking. The dough can be refrigerated from 30 minutes to a day in advance.
    2. Using a cookie scoop will make the cookies more uniform in size. This will allow them to baked evenly and at the same time. If you scoop gets sticky, you can spray it with a bit of nonstick.
    3. Avoid over-baking these cookies as doing so can affect the texture. You want the middle to be soft and chewy. It may appear unbaked when you take them out of the oven but they will firm up as they cool a little.
