It is not so hard to learn How to Make a Low Carb Corn Dog
Every now and then I like to make these as well.
How to Make a Low Carb Corn Dog
Even if you are following a low carbohydrate lifestyle, you can still enjoy some of your favorite foods.
For me, it would be these low carb corn dogs.
There two ingredients in the corn dog that makes it so high in carbohydrates.
One of those ingredients would be the cornmeal, the ingredient that gives the corn dog its famous taste. We will use Almond Flour instead in this recipe. However, substituting a tablespoon or so of cornmeal for the same amount of almond flour will certainly add some of the taste back with fewer carbs.
Since this is a recipe for a corn dog, you will need to have some sticks for your dogs.
You can easily find corn dog sticks online. I will also be using an air fryer, something else that you can find online.

How to Make a Low Carb Corn Dog
Please not that while I am using an air fryer, you can use another frying method of your choice. However, I cannot calculate for you how the carbohydrates would change when using an air fryer. Another method for making these corn dogs would be to simply use a regular oven or toaster over. The times and temperatures for these methods could vary.
- If you will be frying your corn dogs then you will need to have your oil heated to 375 degrees. For an air fryer, we will be setting it to 390.
- Start by blending together your baking mix alternative and your corn meal alternative.
- Stir in the milk and egg to your mix and add any optional seasonings.
- Allow your batter to sit for about five minutes. White it sits you can add a stick to an end to each of the hot dogs.
- Prep your air fryer basket for non stick. Prepare these corn dogs one at a time as you will probably only be able to fit one or two at a time in your basket. Simply dip each dog into the batter, making sure that it is fully covered (using a spoon to pour the batter on helps too.
- Bake these for 8 minutes, rotate and bake until golden. In a regular frying method, cook these for four minutes and rotate. If you are using a regular oven to bake these, I recommend spreading parchment paper on a baking sheet before you bake your corn dogs.

One of my favorite kitchen items has to be my air fryer.
I find that I can make just about anything in my air fryer that can be made in a regular fryer or in oil using another method. To be honest, I have never been a huge fan of anything that is fried in oil because I feel like the oil takes away some of the flavor of what I am eat.
Perhaps it is the calories saving that is my biggest motivation for using an air fryer. If you are looking for an air fyer (makes for a really great gift idea as well!!) you can find good prices on air fryers online.
Are you a chocolate fan?
I must admit that I have to sneak in a piece of chocolate every day. Thank goodness that there are some good options for yummy sugar free chocolate online. I am partial to the Simply Lite Chocolate. Another favorite of mine is the ChocZero Brand of Chocolate. ChocokZero is Sugar Free, Low Carb. No Sugar Alcohols, has No Artificial Sweeteners, All Natural, and is Non-GMO .
