This recipe for Sugar Free Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread is probably one of the best pumpkin bread recipes that I have ever tasted.
Even better, in my opinion, is the smell of this bread while it baked in the oven.
Sugar Free Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread
This bread is really a great tasting and smelling bread especially while it is baking in the oven.
However, it is still a nice treat to enjoy the day after.
Personally, I like how moist and flavorful this pumpkin bread is.
The moistness of this bread makes it enjoyable to eat alone without anything on top.
The flavors in this bread are what make is such a seasonal treat too!
If you have ever asked yourself what can I make with pumpkin, a bread may have popped into your head.
Baking a pumpkin bread is something that many people, myself included, look forward to every autumn.
While it could be all about the pumpkin, it certainly can also be about the expected spices that interact with that pumpkin too.
This pumpkin bread comes without adding any sugar to it.
To be honest, the only sugar that is added to this recipe comes from the pumpkin itself.
You should know that one cup of pumpkin has about three grams of sugar and nets out to about seven grams of carbs.
While this is a sugar free pumpkin recipe, you could also make this a keto or low carb pumpkin bread.
To lower the net carbs of this bread you will need to sub out the All Purpose Flour.
To make this low carb, use a low carb all purpose flour.
Also, to make this keto use a keto all purpose flour.
Lastly, to make this recipe gluten free, use an all purpose gluten free flour.
Also, if you are using Almond flour, please add an additional egg to the batter to aid in the binding process. I suggest anyone using any of the all purpose flour alternatives check the packaging to see if an additional egg or other binder for gluten free baking is needed as well.
Since this chocolate chip pumpkin bread recipe may not be easy to show when it is done baking, here is how to know when it is done in the oven.
You cold certainly check the bread for doneness but, since the coloring of the bread will be a shade of orange, it may be hard to see any signs of brown like you would notice in an other bread. However, pumpkin bread will constrict while baking and pull away from the sides of the pan.
Using a toothpick to test this bread may not yield an accurate result.
Since this is a moist bread, more moist than the usual bread, a baked pumpkin bread will still yield some crumbs on the toothpick. Also, there are chocolate chips in this bread and they will stick to the toothpick when softened from the oven as well.
I mentioned that we will be using the seasonal spices that are synonymous with the fall season.
Allspice, nutmeg, ground cinnamon, and cloves are the spices that we will be using. You can find these spices online as sometimes the local stores run out or do not carry them all.
