What you need to make chocolate donut holes.
- Flour
- Baking Powder
- Salt
- Vegetable Oil
- Sugar Alternative- Please use a granular sugar alternative that measures 1:1 with sugar and can be baked with, for best results.
- Egg- The egg should be at room temperature.
- Vanilla Extract
- Milk- Using a milk alternative such as a nut milk is okay.
- For topping- granular sugar alternative blended with ground cinnamon ..
- For the filling- Sugar free chocolate chips. - melted. You can alternatively use softened Sugar Free Hazelnut Spread.

How to make Baked Chocolate Donut Holes
- Preheat your oven to 325and prep a mini muffin pan for nonstick.
- In a medium bowl, use a whisk or a fork to mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Next, in a mixing bowl, beat together the vegetable oil and sugar alternative until blended. Then mix in the egg, vanilla, and milk. Lastly, stir in the dry ingredients until just combined. The batter should be thick but pourable, similar to pancake batter.
- Evenly distribute the batter in the prepared muffin pan and bake until just browned (15-18 minutes). Allow the donut holes to sit at room temperature for five minutes before removing from the pan.
- To make the topping, use a whisk to blend together the sugar alternative with the cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Then spray each individual donut hole with oil and roll it in to the topping to coat them with the topping.
- Melt the chocolate chips according to the directions on the packing. Once the donut holes have been covered with the topping you can fill them them with the melted chocolate using a piping bag or your method of choice.
