- Stir in the sugar alternative, vanilla, egg, and the melted butter.
- When the waffle iron is ready, use a scoop to transfer the batter on to bottom half. Cook according to the directions for the iron. I have a waffle iron that can be flipped halfway through cooking. It should take about two to three minutes to cook the waffles on each side.
- I like to keep the waffles that are done warm by placing them on an oven safe dish or platter in a warm (on low) oven while I finish cooking the remaining waffles. Wrapping the waffles in foil will also keep them warm.

Used almond flour 1c & 1/4 c coconut flour, baking soda, rest of ingredients. Had to use extra almond milk & water for more liquid consistency. Batter was thicker. Any suggestions? Waffles tasted good though! Served with whipped cream & raspberries.
Thanks!
Holly

Sounds like you nailed it as the end product turned out good. Thanks for sharing this! And yes, batter is thicker as the flour alternatives are not exactly like regular all purpose flour. thanks again!!

I made these last week and they turned out great. I used the Carbquik method. One comment I will make is that they came out a little flatter than normal waffles, but still delicious. I believe I will add some baking soda the next time just to get them to rise a little bit more. Other than that, really good! Thanks for the recipe.

So glad to hear this and thank you for the tip that you have shared ๐

The consistency of the batter was more like cookie dough. The center of the waffle was burnt and the waffle left an odd aftertaste
Sugar Free Diva
The consistency is thicker than regular waffles because we are using almond flour and not adding dairy. You can try adding a bit more melted butter or a bit of creamer to thin it out next time. thanks
Jaime
Really good. I have tried both versions. Both turned out fantastic
Sugar Free Diva
Glad they both worked out well for you!

Tried this today. What a failure. I used a little less almond flour, a little more butter and it still didn't create a batter. the smell was wonderful, but the consistency and taste were not great. There was no binder to keep the "waffle" form. And not enough liquid. Next time I think I will try adding an egg to see if that helps.

Hello. The egg was listed in both recipe however, it was missing in the recipe card. Thanks for pointing this out. Have a great day!
