See The Recipe- (warning, jumping to recipe can result in missing important information including alternative ingredients and tips.) These Keto Low Carb Waffles are really a perfect answer to that hungry breakfast question.
However, I like that they are low carb as well.
Keto Low Carb Waffles
Usually, a low carb diet or lifestyle means eating a lot of eggs for breakfast.
However, there is a possibility that you can also enjoy some waffles as well.
You could eat these waffles just as they are.
However, you could top these waffles with some yummy low carb syrup.
Try one of these sugar free maple syrup options for your tasty waffles. However, you could also try one of these sugar free chocolate syrup options for your waffles as well.
This recipe for Keto Low Carb Waffles is just not only a recipe in itself.
A while back I shared a Sugar Free Chocolate Waffle Cake recipe that I used to make a fabulous (and easy!) birthday cake for my son.
My son was also a huge fan of my Low Carb Waffle Burgers.
Thus, I basically used two low carb waffles as buns. Top the burgers with your favorite toppings, such as lettuce and cheese, just like you would any other burger. My son especially loves my Low Carb Waffle Burgers with turkey burgers!
Obviously, you will need a waffle iron to cook your waffles.
I made my waffles using a round waffle maker.
Round Waffle Maker.
Look for one like this one from Cuisinart which has:
Dual indicator lights; 5-setting browning control
Round nonstick cook plate with four quarters
Stands on end for compact storage. BPA free
3-Year warranty
Voltage-120V.
Nonstick plates, indicator lights and thus a regulating thermostat make operation however easy while the five-setting browning control mean your waffle will always be baked to perfection.
Tips on how to make the perfect waffles.
This is from the Cuisinart waffle maker shown above. Cuisinart recommends using the heat setting #3 for golden brown waffles. However, if you prefer crisper, darker waffles, increase the browning control to setting #4 or 5. Also, for evenly filled waffles, pour the batter onto the center of the lower grid and close the cover. For best results, use ½ cup batter per waffle for evenly filled waffles. Thus, waffles are best when made to order. Store baked waffles may be kept warm oven while you finish making the rest of the batter.
How to store waffles.
You could store the already made waffles in foil while they sit in the oven. However, keep in mind that waffles wrapped in foil may lose their crispiness. The good news is that your leftover waffles can be frozen away to enjoy later. Before storing your leftover waffles, be sure to allow them to cool completely. Place the leftover waffles in a plastic food storage bag. Also, use waxed paper to thus keep waffles separated. Reheat in a toaster or toaster oven when ready to use.
However, you could make your waffles square instead.
Square waffles are great for sandwiches like grilled cheese sandwiches.
Square Waffle Maker- Look for a waffle maker like this one from Hamilton Beach.
Easy-clean nonstick grids make 4 waffles.
Indicator lights tell you when power is on and when to add batter.
Thus, Makes thick, fluffy waffles.
However, wait for the Ready light to come on, then add the batter. Thus, in 4 to 5 minutes, you’ll have four delicious waffles hot and ready to serve.
When finished, however, the nonstick grids clean up with a simple wipe down. Compact, upright storage allows the waffle maker to fit easily into the cupboard or pantry.

Used almond flour 1c & 1/4 c coconut flour, baking soda, rest of ingredients. Had to use extra almond milk & water for more liquid consistency. Batter was thicker. Any suggestions? Waffles tasted good though! Served with whipped cream & raspberries.
Thanks!
Holly

Sounds like you nailed it as the end product turned out good. Thanks for sharing this! And yes, batter is thicker as the flour alternatives are not exactly like regular all purpose flour. thanks again!!

I made these last week and they turned out great. I used the Carbquik method. One comment I will make is that they came out a little flatter than normal waffles, but still delicious. I believe I will add some baking soda the next time just to get them to rise a little bit more. Other than that, really good! Thanks for the recipe.
