How to make Sugar Free 3 Musketeers (copycat)
- Prepare a square baking dish (8x8 or 9x9 for example) with parchment paper, plastic wrap, or foil that overhangs the side of the dish. Then spray this lightly for nonstick.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the milk chocolate chips until smooth according to the directions on the packaging. I like to stop the microwave to stir every 20 seconds while it melts. Then allow the melted chocolate to cool to room temperature (about 10 minutes).
- Meanwhile, place the whipped topping into a mixing bowl. Then transfer the melted chocolate to the mixing bowl. Use a sturdy mixing spoon to combine the ingredients together. Folding the ingredients may be easiest when you start out.
- Transfer the blended ingredients to the prepared baking dish. Then place the dish into the freeze to set (about 20 minutes). Meanwhile, line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper to use as a workspace.
- Once the filling has set you can remove it from the freezer. Use the overhanging parchment/foil to lift it from the dish. Then cut the filling into 16 pieces.
- Melt the remaining chocolate chips as indicated on the packaging.
- Carefully, use a fork or dipping tool, to dip each of the pieces into the melted chocolate and then place the pieces on to the baking sheet you just lined.
- Refrigerate the candy until firm and then enjoy!

Tips for making the best Copycat Three Musketeers.

More helpful tips for you.
- Whipped topping in a tub (such as Cool Whip) is used in this recipe. While you can use a low or sugar free version of this, regular whipped topping is surprising low in sugar for the amount used per serving in this recipe.
- The whipped topping is combined with the milk chocolate chips that have been melted. It is a good idea to allow the melted chocolate chips cool to around room temperature before combining the ingredients.
- When combining the ingredients in the mixing bowl, it is normal for some chunks to form while the chocolate hardens to room temperature. The chunks should eventually find their way out as you continue to mix.
- I like to double prep a pan for a recipe such as this one. For example, I will line the pan with parchment paper or foil and then lightly spray that with nonstick.
