Sugar Free Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes
This is a fun way to enjoy a cupcake for your next celebration or for a snack.
While this idea is popular with kids, I know of many adults who enjoy this cupcake idea too.
This recipe would work well with my Sugar Free Vanilla Cupcake recipe.
In this recipe, the ingredients call for a box of sugar free cake mix, you could use one of my sugar free cupcake recipes. As long as you have the batter, you should be good.
Once you have made your cupcake cones you may be wondering how do you decorate a cake with ice cream cones.
Or simply put ice cream cone cupcakes. You could eat these cupcakes plan with just the cupcake and the cone but, why not make them even more fun with something on top.
Sugar free frosting looks great and tastes great with these cupcakes.
I have many sugar free frosting recipes that you can try or you can use sugar free frosting already made. Also, there are sugar free sprinkles that you can put on top to make your cupcakes look even more fun!
One you have made your ice cream cone cupcakes you will probably ask how do you transport ice cream cone cupcakes.
I love this hack because it is also useful for having somewhere to hold your cupcake cones while you are decorating them and also to display them to show it off. You can find ice cream cone holders online that are very useful in this recipe.
There are three parts to the sugar free ice cream cone cupcake.
First, there is a cupcake. The cupcake is baked upside down with a sugar free cone placed on the top (which turns into the bottom) of it while it bakes. Then, after the cupcakes are baked, they are placed right side up and frosted.

Or, consider freezing your cupcakes until about six hours before you are ready to serve them and allow to defrost.

To be honest, not everyone actually eats the cones.

The ingredients needed to make this ice cream cone cupcake recipe
- Sugar Free Cake Make- 1 box, plus ingredients needed to make it.
- Ice Cream Cones-20- 24 depending on the size. Please read the ingredient label to assure that the cones do not have added sugar in them. Also, cones should be flat on the bottom rather than pointed.
- Sugar Free Frosting- 1 mix or container.
- Optional- e sugar free sprinkles or other kind of topping.
How to make Sugar Free Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes
- Preheat to 325. Place a cupcake liner in each cup of the cupcake pan.
- Make the cupcake batter as instructed on the cake box. Then pour the batter into each of the prepared muffin cups. Each cup should be about ½ to ¾ full.
- In each of the muffin cups, place an empty cone upside down.
- Bake for 18- 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool completely. When cool, remove the cupcake liner from each of the cupcakes and frost.
- Transporting, as well as decorating, your cupcakes can be easier when you use a cone holder. You can find ice cream cone holders online that are very useful in this recipe.
