I like the idea of Guiltless Sugar Free Brownies because it may mean that I do not have to feel so guilty while eating my brownies.
And really, who does not like a great tasting brownie every now and then?
Guiltless Sugar Free Brownies
This is truely a great way to enjoy a brownie but, with less guilt.
Not only is this brownie made without adding sugar to it, but it is also made using healthier ingredients than you would normally expect from a brownie.
I know that it is hard to beat my ever so popular (killer...) Sugar Free Chocolate Brownie recipe.
That brownie recipe is meant to be both decadent and sugar free.
This recipe, however, is meant to be a more healthy option for a sugar free brownie.

What is it that makes a brownie or any baked good guilt free anyway?
For starters, we will not be adding sugar to this recipe for brownies. However, we still want our brownies to taste good too, am I right?
To make these brownies taste sweet we will use a sugar alternative instead.
When choosing a sugar alternative, please use a granular one that measures one to one with sugar for the best results. Other options for a sugar alternative that have their own natural sweetness include honey (¾ cup), maple syrup (¾ cup), and agave (⅔ cup) (you may need to adjust your dry ingredients for consistency).
Guilt free in this recipe also means substituting the fat that is added to the mixing bowl.
Normally when we make brownies we may add melted butter or oil to make the brownies moist and soft to chew. In this recipe, we will use a substitute for the fat in order to make them moist.
To get the fat into these brownies we will use 'healthier' ingredients instead.
For nonvegans, you can use cottage cheese (¾ cup) or (¾ cup) ricotta cheese (not low-fat versions will yield more moist results). Vegan folks can use one mashed avocado or ¾ cup of coconut oil.

Here are some more helpful brownie baking tips.
- Just as I always seem to point out to folks, using fresh ingredients is really essential for successful baking of about anything. In this recipe that fresh ingredient rule is especially essential for the dry ingredients- flour and baking powder.
- I use Parchment Paper that overhangs the sides of my brownie baking pan. This allows me to easily remove the brownies from the pan (less mess!!) for cutting.
- Adding an extra ingredient can really change the taste and texture of these brownies. My favorite addtional, yet optional, ingredients include sugar free chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or swirled nut butter.
- Lastly, I always like to remind folks that when mixing up a batter such as this one, avoid over-mixing as this will introduce air into the batter which can among other things, cause tunnels. Simply mix your ingredients until justy blended for best results.
You could easily make these brownies low in carbohydrates.
Besides using a low carb sugar alternative and low carb and sugar free chocolate chips try swapping out your flour. You can find keto and low carb all purpose flour alternatives here.

I recently tried this recipe. I used the 3/4 cup of honey and the 3/4 cup of cottage cheese. I also added 1/4 cup of almond flour because it looked thin. The brownies (more like a cake) took at least the double time to bake. It was very moist. My husband was impressed. THANKYOU and I enjoy making your recipes for my recently diagnosed diabetic husband in the household.
