    Air Fried Honey Mustard Salmon is just another great way to serve some great food.

    While I am a fan of making salmon on the grill, stove or in the oven, an air fryer is another good method as well.

    This is an easy way to make delicious salmon.

    It is also a quick way to make salmon as well.

     

    I think that it was my recipe for Low Carb Air Fried Coconut Shrimp recipe that got me thinking about this recipe.

    That recipe for air fried shrimp is really a good low in carbs copycat recipe for regular coconut fried shrimp.
    This recipe for salmon is based upon what I would consider to be a light and more healthy recipe.

     

    This is a great recipe for anyone wanting to know how do you cook salmon in an air fryer.

    First, let me first say that it is possible to air fry salmon.
    I know that there may be some concerns about moisture and of course, keeping the salmon intact.

    This recipe for honey mustard salmon does do a good job at holding on to the moisture.

    Obviously, the honey and the mustard add to the moisture in the salmon.
    However, we will also seal the deal by using a bit of olive oil.

     

    Here is how to prepare the salon for this recipe.

    You can use any kind of salmon filet for this recipe.
    I recommend using salmon fillets that are six to eight ounces so that you can air fry more than one at a time and evenly.

    Your salmon should be defrosted if is has been frozen.

    Also, I recommend using salmon that had had the skin removed. However,if you would prefer to air fry your salmon with the skin, please clean the skin if possible.

     

    Here are some tips for air frying.

    I just mentioned that the salmon should be about six to eight ounces in size. Also mentioned was that the salmon should not be frozen so please defrost it before using it in this recipe.

    Here are some more helpful tips for you.

    1. Using a pan that is made for air fryers to cook this salmon is a way to keep the moisture. It can also make it easier to clean up after air frying.
    2. I know that I mentioned cleaning or rinsing the skin that is on the salmon before using it in the reicpe is a good idea. Some folks simply like to rinse off their salmon even if it is skinless. I you decide to rinse your salmon, use a paper towel to pat it dry.
    3. I like to preheat my air fryer before I cook in it. This helps insure that the air fryer is evenly heated for cooking.

     

    The air fryer that you use can affect how quickly and well your salmon will cook.

    Most folks are using the traditional 'egg shaped' air fryer.
    Since switching over to the multi-function kind of fryer, I have found that I am able to cook more food in the same time.

    The recipe for Air Fried Honey Mustard Salmon

    Earlier I mentioned that the salmon should be about six to eight ounces in size. Also mentioned was that the salmon should not be frozen so please defrost it before using it in this recipe.

    I also mentioned that how your salmon cooks depends upon the kind of air fryer you are using.

    For me, preheating my air fryer helps because it allows the heat to be evenly distributed before I begin cooking my food.
    Also, giving the air fryer basket a quick spray can help keep salmon from sticking.

     

    Ingredients needed to make air fryer salmon.

     

    • Salmon- 2. Use fillets that are not frozen and that are six to eight ounces each.
    • Olive Oil- 4 teaspoons.
    • Dijon Mustard- 2 tablespoon.
    • Honey- 1 tablespoon. Feel free to sub in maple syrup or a sugar alternative. Please use an equivalent to two tablespoons of sugar rather than one tablespoon of that alternative for best results.
    • Garlic-1 clove minced.
    • Seasonings- 2 teaspoons or as desired. This can include Italian Seasonings, Salt,
      and/or Pepper. Also Mediterranean Diet Seasoning Blend

    How to make salmon in an air fryer.

     

    • Preheat your air fryer to 400 and give the basket a quick spray with nonstick if desired. Please note that if your air fryer suggests using another temperature to air fry salmon on, please follow that however, you may need to adjust the cooking time.
    • In a small bowl, use a whisk or a fork to blend together the remaining ingredients (oil, seasonings etc.). Use a brush to brush the blend on both sides of the salmon. Alternatively, you can toss the ingredients in a zip top bag.
    • Transfer the salmon to the fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes or until done.
