When selecting your sugar free white chocolate chips choose chips that have a high cocoa butter content. This will help the white chocolate melt evenly with the other ingredients.
More helpful tips for you.
- Sugar free semi sweet chocolate chips work best in this recipe. Dark chocolate chips can get too hard when set and milk-chocolate are a bit too soft for this recipe.
- The peanuts that are added to this recipe add a crunchy element to this recipe. If the size of the peanuts are too large for your liking, you can run them through a food processor or good blender on pulse to break them down a bit.
- If you find that your chocolate is a bit chunky when it is melting you can stir in up to a tablespoon of coconut oil or peanut butter. Adding peanut butter or coconut oil will also add a bit of additional flavor to your candy.

How to Make Sugar Free Crockpot Candy
Prep Time:Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 1.5 hours
Chill Time: 2.5 hours
Servings: 48 pieces, depending on the size of your dollops.
- Prepare your slow cooker by lightly spraying it with nonstick. I have not tried this recipe using a liner.
- Place all of the ingredients into your slow cooker. Some folks like to layer the ingredients so that the nuts are on the bottom and the chocolate(s) are on top so that the chocolate melts over the nuts.
- Cover your slow cooker and cook on low heat for an hour, scraping down the sides of the slow cooker and stirring the ingredients occasionally. After an hour of slow cooking, use a rubber spatula to stir the ingredients and then continue to cook covered for up to an additional half hour if needed for the chocolate to fully melted.
- Meanwhile, prepare a couple of rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper or wax paper.
- Use a tablespoon or small cookie scoop (depending on the size candy that you want) to scoop out the candy and place the scooped candy on to the baking sheets.
- Let the candy sit at room temperature to harden. You can transfer the candy to your refrigerator to speed the setting up after it has cooled to room temperature (20-30 minutes).
Expert Tip👉 Placing the scooped candy on to candy liners to set can make it easier for serving the crockpot candy later at a gathering or event.
