Tips for making the best dark chocolate fudge.
While this is a dark chocolate fudge recipe, semi-sweet chocolate is also used in order to get a more 'fudge-like' texture. Feel free to swap out a quarter cup of the semi-sweet chips for additional dark chocolate chips if you want a more dark chocolate fudge.
More helpful tips for you.
- Sugar Free Condensed Milk is preferred in this recipe. However, you can alternatively use a full fat coconut milk instead.
- Sea salt is used in this recipe as it offers the perfect flavor balance in this fudge. Kosher salt is another option that could work in this recipe.
- This recipe can also be made on a stovetop. Simply melt the chocolate chips with the condensed milk over low heat stirring until melted and blended.
- For a softer fudge, add one to two tablespoons of butter to the bowl once the ingredients have been melted.
- My fudge was made in a 9x9 baking dish. For more servings you can use a larger baking dish or pan and for larger (bigger pieces) servings you can use a smaller dish or pan.
- Add a cup of chopped nuts, such as walnuts, for additional flavor and texture.

How to store homemade chocolate fudge.
This fudge should be stored in an airtight container with parchment paper or wax paper between layers. While you could store it at room temperature, I prefer to store mine refrigerated and then let it sit out for ten minutes or so before serving.
