You may be wondering, what is white fudge.
White fudge is not just a fudge that is white in color.
It is a fudge that is made without chocolate.
Regular fudge is made with cocoa or some kind of chocolate.
White fudge is not make with cocoa or chocolate which is why it is not a darker color.
Instead, white fudge is usually made with some kind of cocoa butter instead.
Is white fudge or white chocolate really chocolate?
Nope, technically white fudge and white chocolate are not really 'chocolate'.
There is no chocolate added in both white fudge and white chocolate.
White fudge and white chocolate are both still considered to be a fudge or a chocolate.
This is probably more because of a marketing thing than a technical reason.
Also, white chocolate looks like a white colored chocolate and white fudge looks like a white colored fudge. No complaints here 🙂 .
Here are some tips for making white fudge.
This recipe is made with almonds for both taste and to add a bit of a crunch.
Feel free to omit the almonds or substitute in another nut such as hazelnuts or macadamia nuts.

- Adding fruit to the fudge white it is setting is a nice way to give this recipe added flavor and color. I like dried cranberries or a lower carb fruit such as dried strawberries.
- This recipe is vegan as we are using vegan ingredients such as coconut condensed milk. If you are not concerned with this you can use an unsweetened condensed milk instead.
- Adding a topping can make this fudge even more fun looking. You can find sugar free sprinkles here.
