- While the crust should be buttery, if it is having trouble sticking together you can make adjustments as needed with the almond flour.
- Heavy cream is not the same as heavy whipping cream as they have a different amount of fat which is needed to make these bars creamy. Make sure that you are using the heavy cream and not the heavy whipping cream.
- These bars are not baked and the crust has a good amount of butter in it to make it unnecessary to have to prep your baking dish for nonstick. You can however, line the baking dish with parchment paper that hangs over the sides of the dish to make it easier to slice your bars and transfer them to a container for storing.
- Make sure that the top of your bars are firm to the touch before you slice them. If the bars are soft in the center they are not set and they will become messy when served. little soft then slicing them will be messy.
- Avoid leaving un-served bars at room temperature or even refrigerated for too long of a time. These bars will soften and start to melt about 10-15 minutes after they come out of the freezer.
