You may be wondering what is the difference between cookie dough and edible cookie dough.

While this recipe is for sugar free keto low carb cookie dough, it really is not something that you should bake to make cookies from. One reason is because it would melt almost immediately after placing it into the oven.

Here is what makes regular cookie dough edible rather than inedible.

It is the eggs that deems cookie dough inedible (in most cases) because of the risk of salmonella from consuming raw eggs. Also, experts tell us that all purpose flour should be baked before consuming as well.

People ask why can you not bake edible cookie dough.

Edible cookie dough is intended to not be baked with.
As a result, the ingredients that are used are deemed safe for consumption without having to bake with them.
However, if you were to bake with this edible cookie dough, you will probably end up with a mess rather than a cookie.

This is because this is an eggless recipe.
Eggs are used in cookie recipes as a binder to hold the other ingredients together while baking.
