Did you try my recipe for Sugar Free Pumpkin Spice Truffles

That pumpkin pie spice truffle recipe is another yummy fall idea that has no added sugar in it. Both this recipe for pecan pie truffles and that recipe for pumpkin pie truffles would go nicely when served together for a gathering or dessert.

To make this recipe you will need chopped pecans . You can find a selection of chopped pecans here.

What does Pecan Pie taste like?

Pecan pie, when made using a traditional recipe, is very sweet and decadent. This is beauce pecan pie is loaded with sugar(s) along with butter and pecans.

However, we can easily make a good copy of this flavor without all of the added sugar(s). In this recipe, we are still using pecans as well as flavorful nut butter too.

    Are dates keto friendly?

When used in moderation, dates can be used in keto recipes. Dates provide a natural sugar that is said to be easier to digest.

This recipe calls for six dates to be used in 20 servings. Since one date has about 4.5 net carbs, each truffle has about 1.35 net carbs contributed from dates. 😉

This recipe calls for almond flour. Almond flour is said to be safe to be eaten raw as long as it is ground up almonds and nothing else.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. I am using sugar free cashew butter in this recipe. Feel free to use the nut butter of your choice as long as there is no added sugar in it. You can even make your own like I usually do.
    2. The ingredients can become sticky while you roll the truffles between your hands. Try refrigerating the ingredients for a few minutes or spraying your hands with nonstick to make it easier to form your truffles.
    3. Add extra flavor to your truffles by adding a bit of shredded coconut. Another option is to add a teaspoon or so of unsweetened cocoa powder to make your truffles taste a bit chocolaty too!

    How to store keto truffles

These truffles should be stored in an airtight container. If properly stored and refrigerated they should last for about a week.
