What makes mint chocolate chip cookies so good?

Mint chocolate chip cookies take the average chocolate chip cookie up a notch with the cool rich flavor of mint.
I love the smell of these cookies while they are baking in the oven thanks to both the chocolate chips and the mint.

Ingredients you will need to make mint chocolate chip cookies.
- Flour. I have not tried this recipe using an alternative flour such as a low carb flour.
- Baking Soda. For leavening.
- Salt. Just a small amount is used. If you are using salted butter you can omit the salt.
- Butter. Your butter should be softened to room temperature.
- Sugar Alternative. Use a granular sugar alternative that measures like sugar and that can be baked with.
- Eggs. Your eggs should be at room temperature.
- Peppermint Food Extract. Feel free to use another extract if desired.
- Sugar Free Chocolate Chips. Semi-sweet chocolate chips work best in this recipe as they are softer.
