    More helpful tips for you.

    1. While my bars were made with with strawberries, other berries can also work in this recipe. I like blueberries or raspberries.
    2. A blender is used to make the filling layer to get a well mixed and fluffy texture. You could also use a food processor to do this.
    3. Line your baking dish with parchment paper that overhangs the sides of the dish. This will make it easier for you to remove the bars from the dish for slicing.
    4. If you are using a baking pan rather than a baking dish, baking times may vary so it is a good idea to keep an eye on the bars while they bake.
    5. Allow the base crust to cool before adding the lemon filling. This will help prevent the filling from softening the base while also giving the base a crispier texture.
    6. My bars were made in a 9x13 baking dish. For thicker bars, use a smaller dish and for thinner bars you can use a larger one.

How to store lemonade and strawberry bars.

Once the bars have fully set, they can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated. If properly stored, they should keep for up to five days. I would not freeze these bars however.
