To do so use cheesecloth or a strainer to strain out the seeds (as many seeds as possible).
The Ingredients Needed to Make this Recipe for Mousse.
- Sugar Free Strawberry Gelatin- 1 box (4 serving size box).
- Boiling Water- ½ cup.
- Strawberries- 2 cups with the stems removed and hulled.
- Whipping Cream- 1 ½ cups divided. You can find my recipe for sugar free whipped cream here.
- Vanilla Extract- 1 teaspoon.
How to make Sugar Free Strawberry Mousse
- Whisk together the gelatin with the boiling water in a medium bowl. Set this bowl aside.
- Puree the strawberries in a blender or food processor. Then strain the seeds.
To do so use cheesecloth or a strainer to strain out the seeds (as many seeds as possible) into a bowl or large measuring cup. You do not need to clean out the blender before moving on with the instructions. - Transfer the strawberries back to the blender and add ½ cup of the whipping cream, vanilla extract, and the gelatin mixture from the first step. Blend until smooth. Transfer this to a large bowl.
- In a mixer or using a whisk, whisk or beat the remaining whipped cream until it begins to peak. Then mix the whipped into the strawberry mixture that is in the bowl.
- Transfer the mousse into serving cups (four to six) and refrigerate until set (2 ½ to three hours).
