    This is the perfect cold treat to eat on a hot day.

    I am one of those people who cannot get enough watermelon during the summer months.

    That recipe is another great tasting frozen cold fruit treat as well.

    However, as much as these two recipes may seem to be alike to me, this recipe does no have pudding in it.
     

    I love a good hack when it comes to enjoying fruit. While I like eating my fruit as intended, there are some great products out there (such as these) that make fruit even better!

    You may be wondering what are the benefits of eating watermelon.

    I suppose that I should first mention that this recipe does contain watermelon.
    Watermelon is so tasty and is also a popular and healthy treat.

    There really are some nutritional benefits in watermelon.

    Watermelon is a great source for Vitamin C and Vitamin A.
    Also, the sugar in watermelon is all natural.

     

    Here is how to make this recipe totally sugar free.

    Yes, this recipe is really about making watermelon pops using real watermelon.
    This means not adding sugar to it.

    Here is how to not have to use watermelon and still make watermelon lime pops.

    I recently found sugar free watermelon powdered drink mix online, probably the best cheat in the world when it comes to making this frozen pops recipe! Simply sub in the drink mix (prepared) for all or part of the watermelon juice needed in this recipe!
     

    Here are some tips for making this watermelon lime pops recipe.

    I just mentioned that you can make this recipe totally sugar free or with less natural sugar.
    Simply substitute in sugar free watermelon powdered drink (prepared) for the watermelon juice in this recipe.

    Here are some more helpful tips for you!

    1. Make this recipe in layers with different flavors. Use coconut milk for a white layer and green jello or avocado for a green layer.
    2. This recipe could be a tasty boozy recipe for some folks. Simply add ยฝ to ยพ cup of vodka or the alcohol of your choice.
    3. While this recipe is for watermelon and lime, you could use another another kind of juice instead of the lime juice. Another option is to simply omit the juice and make this just a watermelon frozen pop instead of a watermelon and lime frozen pop.
    4. This recipe also works well when you add other fruit. To do this sub in raspberries, strawberries or even kiwi for part of the watermelon.

     

    To make this recipe for frozen pops you will need some kind of a mold to freeze them in.

    Simply substitute in sugar free watermelon powdered drink (prepared) for the watermelon juice in this recipe.

    You can find a nice selection of frozen pops molds online here. Another option is to use paper cups and frozen pops sticks.

    What you will need to make this recipe for Sugar Free Watermelon Lime Pops.

     

    • Watermelon- 3 cups, seeded and cubed (with the rind removed). Make this recipe totally sugar free substitute in sugar free watermelon powdered drink (prepared) for the watermelon juice in this recipe.
    • Lime Juice- 2 tablespoons. Can omit or use alternative juice instead.
    • Optional- sugar alternative - 2 tablespoons.

    How to make Sugar Free Watermelon Pops

     

    • Use a good blender such as a Vitamix.
    • Combine the ingredients in the blender and puree until smooth. You may need to turn off the blender and manually stir the mixture as needed.
    • Transfer the the mixture to your molds and insert the stick or handle.
    • Freeze until frozen, about eight hours.
    • It can be a bit easier to remove the pops by pacing the bottom of the molds in hot water.
    • Optional, make this a tasty boozy recipe for some folks. Simply add ยฝ to ยพ cup of vodka or the alcohol of your choice.
