Using fresh ingredients is essential to the success of this recipe. This includes your dry and wet ingredients.
More helpful tips for you.
- When combining your wet and dry ingredients together, do no over mix your ingredients. Doing so can ruin the texture of your cookies.
- Butter flavored shortening was actually used to make my cookies with which is why the texture looks so good. I listed softened butter in the ingredient list as not everyone has butter flavored shortening on hand. Feel free to use either shortening or actual butter keeping in mind that your cookies may look different than mine as a result.
- When selecting your sugar alternatives, select alternatives that measure like regular sugar and that can also be baked with.
- If you having to make this recipe in batches, for best results, use a cool(ed) baking sheet between batches.
- Refrigerating your dough, for at least 20 minutes, can help prevent the cookies from spreading too much during baking.
- Use a cookie scoop to scoop out the dough and keep the cookies a uniform size.

- Fold. Use a rubber spatula or similar item to fold in your white chocolate chips.
- Scoop. Next, use a cookie scoop to scoop out the cookie dough, roll the dough between your hands to form a ball, and then place the cookies about an inch and a half to two inches apart on your prepared baking sheets.
- Bake. Place the cookies in your oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are a golden brown and the center is no longer moist looking.
- Cool. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for three minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to fully cool.
