These Healthier Sugar Free Chocolate Muffins are actually pretty good.
I was pleasantly surprised by these tasty muffins as well.
Healthier Sugar Free Chocolate Muffins
These muffins taste really good even though they may be healhty.
However, these muffins are still chocolate in taste which is something that makes me happy!
So, yes, it is true, you can have something that tastes good that is also healthier for you.
Even though these are muffins and even though they are chocolate, we will make them without certain ingredients that may make them less healthy.
Also, we are going to add ingredients in their place that are healthier ingredients.
I must start by saying that I am always cautious when I hear that something is made 'healthy'.
I am talking about those recipes that are called 'healthy muffins banana', 'healthy muffins for kids' or even the 'healthy oatmeal muffin recipes'. Sometimes I will look at the list of ingredients in some of these recipes and I will see food that I personally do not deem as being so healthy.
There can seem that often the word 'healthy' is used too often or sometimes out of context.
As a result of the often overuse of the term, people can be misdirected into incorrect or misleading information.
That is why I am calling these muffins 'Healthier Sugar Free Chocolate Muffins' rather than 'Healthy Sugar Free Muffins'.
Yes, these are also sugar free muffins.
After all, this is a sugar free recipe site. Simply taking out the sugar from these muffins will make them healthier for some folks, like myself.
So, if you want to keep these sugar free muffins on the healthier side, certainly use a sugar alternative that is also on the healthier side.
Healthy sugar alternatives or less not healthy sweetener include natural sugar alternatives.
I am talking about honey (which does have fructose in it), Stevia and Monk Fruit. Just make sure that you are making even swaps with volume (measures 1:1 with sugar) to make this recipe work for you.
Monkfruit 1:1 Sugar Substitute
This is a newer, at least around here, sugar alternative that seems to be catching on pretty fast. One reason for that is because it is natural. I like that this one is 1:1 with sugar in volume.
