Sugar Free Applesauce Cake, a simple and delicious dessert recipe made with unsweetened applesauce and no added sugar.

Tips for making the best applesauce cake.

When selecting an applesauce, make sure that you are using a no added sugar applesauce. Unsweetened cinnamon flavored applesauce also works in this recipe.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. Using fresh ingredients is essential to the success of this recipe. This is especially true with the dry ingredients that are added to the cake.
    2. When you mix the ingredients it is important to mix them until just combined. Over mixing the ingredients can make the cake more dense and less airy.
    3. Keep an eye on your cake while it is baking in the oven. Sugar alternatives can often affect how quickly something bakes.
    4. Make sure that your cake is fully cooled before you frost it. If your cake is still warm you risk melting the frosting.

How to store a cake made with applesauce.

This applesauce cake should be stored in an airtight container.
If properly stored, this cake should keep for up to five days before it becomes too dry to enjoy.
